Calif. firm looking at Medina as site for biomass plant

MEDINA — A company interested in generating electricity and producing fuel like ethanol from solid waste may build a plant in the city.

Vandalism, delays in construction put splash pad on hold

MEDINA — The splash pad water park at Fred Greenwood Park, which originally was scheduled to open by July 2, won’t be cooling off neighborhood kids until August.

Farmer dies when tractor overturns

WESTFIELD TWP. — A township farmer died after the tractor he was driving flipped over Tuesday afternoon.
The Medina County Sheriff’s Office reported:
Thomas Gallatin, 66, was working in a field in the 6500 block of Seville Road when he made a left turn, causing the tractor to flip over and land on top of him.
