I am a former Navy diver with three tours in Vietnam, a former Secret [...]

October 18th, 2007 · No Comments

To the Editor:
After reading the article in Tuesday’s Gazette (“County weighs NOACA pullout”), you have to wonder, what were you thinking? Avon Lake being held hostage by Cuyahoga County? What did you expect? A team player?
What would happen to Cleveland’s sports teams if people from outside “Cuya-HOG-a” County didn’t attend their teams’ sporting events? They [...]

It’s time to get out of NOACA

October 18th, 2007 · No Comments

To the Editor:
Regarding The Gazette article on Tuesday headlined, “County weighs NOACA pullout,” I would like to add my two cents.
As a former Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency member, treasurer and secretary, I must agree with the Medina County Commissioners. Medina County went through an ordeal with NOACA on adding a third lane to Interstate [...]

To the Editor:
Another special person has left this worldly existence for a more lasting eternal life. Willette “Willy” Chandler recently passed away after a long and courageous battle.
Willy taught mostly first-graders in the Medina City Schools system for many years. She had the uncanny ability to nurture those who found school difficult while at the [...]
