MEDINA — In a close race for president of Medina City Council, Cindy Fuller edged out incumbent Pam Miller by 70 votes. Ward 1 Councilman John Wetzel came in third.
Out of 4,553 votes cast, Fuller had 2,014; Miller, 1,944; and Wetzel, 595, according to unofficial results from the Medina County Board of Elections.

BRUNSWICK — A hush came over Brunswick Library where about 20 employees and supporters of the Medina County District Library were waiting for election results.
Early results were close, too close.
The levy was narrowly passing with 50.68 percent of votes. Results from 76 of 126 precincts were in.

BRUNSWICK — City voters overwhelmingly defeated the proposed issue that would have increased income taxes from 1.35 to 2.15 percent.

WESTFIELD TWP. — Cloverleaf High School will be closed today after two separate threats were found on the school’s walls Tuesday.
The threats, in the form of graffiti in different locations, referenced something would happen today but they were not directed at anyone in particular, district Superintendent Bruce Hulme said Tuesday evening.
