Failed power line put 2,600 in dark

Residents in southern Medina County and parts of Wayne County were without power when an Ohio Edison transmission line failed at about 3:35 Wednesday afternoon.

Erhart-York gets fire grant

YORK TWP. — After trying for five years, Erhart-York Township Fire Department received a $42,397 fire grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
U.S. Sen. George V. Voinovich, R-Ohio, announced Wednesday that six Ohio fire departments received a total of $572,279 through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program.
