– On Aug. 28, police were dispatched to Michael’s Mini Mart, 327 Pearl Road, about a suspicious vehicle. Police found five people allegedly smoking marijuana in a van in the parking lot. Police searched the van and reportedly found a sweatshirt with a plastic bag of marijuana in it and three pipes.

Some residents unhappy with address painters

MEDINA — It may not have been a scam, but men soliciting to paint house addresses left some people unhappy with the outcome.
On Monday, a father, son and friend from Cincinnati peddled their services to paint residents’ addresses on the curbs using Reflect-O-Lite paint for better visibility at night, police said.

BRUNSWICK — The brown-eyed, 8-year-old blonde looked a little hesitant at first, but after a few moments she allowed the oxygen mask to be strapped around her head.
