‘Vaudeville’: Stage Left Theatre Company performs variety show fundraiser to benefit the local nonprofit

MEDINA — When times are tough, families come together to offer support and enjoy each other’s company.
This simple idea is the driving force behind the nonprofit Stage Left Theatre Company’s debut fundraiser, “Vaudeville Revue,” which takes place Jan. 30 and 31 at the Drake Center for the Arts in Medina.

Applicants pack lobby of agency

Copley hands Grizzlies loss

COPLEY — The Suburban League boys basketball title wasn’t decided on Friday night, but the atmosphere at Copley High was championship caliber.
Two fired-up teams, a tournament-sized crowd and emotionally charged fans made the evening extra special. Heck, there were even electric guitars and public address announcer extraordinaire Johnnie Legrair in the house.

Frank S. Hachtel

Frank S. Hachtel, 102, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at Brookwood Place at the Brethren Care Village in Ashland.
He was born April 22, 1906, in Dundee, Ohio, to George and Mary (Fankhauser) Hachtel. He was engaged in farming all his life. Mr. Hachtel attended Homerville United Methodist Church.
