She was retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T and enjoyed genealogy, scrapbooking and needlework.

Incorrect information appeared in an article titled “Three Fires in One Night” in the Sept. 17 Gazette. A fire investigator hired by the insurance company of the homeowners at 7140 Wadsworth Road, Montville Township, determined the fire in the house most likely was caused by a lit candle.

A Feb. 20 photo caption accompanying the story, “Quilters keep tradition alive,” listed an incorrect charitable donation. A quilt made by Edna Landis of Wadsworth Township brought $7,200 at auction in Kidron several years ago, and money from the sale was donated to the Mennonite Relief organization.
