Gazette Staff Artist Chad Kimes has been honored by the Press Club of Cleveland in the organization’s 29th annual Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards.

Kimes received a second-place award in the category of illustrations covering all publications.

The awards were presented Friday at a ceremony at LaCentre Conference and Banquet Facility in Westlake.

Entries were submitted by a variety of daily and weekly newspapers, radio and TV stations, and trade and business publications from across the state.
