FEMA sets Aug. 14 session on county flood insurance

MEDINA — Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency are hosting an information session to allow county residents an opportunity to review preliminary flood insurance rate maps and receive information about flood insurance.
The maps, which show areas determined to be flood plains, are used by local officials, insurance agencies, builders and residents to determine flood risk and development regulations in those areas.
The session will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Medina County Engineering Center, 791 W. Smith Road.
