A 10-by-10-foot canopy worth $900 and change from three vehicles parked in the driveway were reported stolen at a residence in the 9500 block of Congress Road in Harrisville Township in the early morning hours Thursday.
– Theft and vandalism charges may be filed against a 13-year-old boy after he allegedly took his neighbor’s green BMX bicycle worth $200 and spray-painted it in the 400 block of Wall Road in Wadsworth Township.
A man claimed he saw the boy take his daughter’s bike from his yard when he reported the theft at 8 a.m. Saturday.
After a deputy talked to the boy, the bike was returned to the girl after she identified it.
– A John Deere Gator worth $9,000, two saws, a compression hose and gas cans were reported stolen from an unlocked barn at a residence in the 4900 block of Boneta Road in Granger Township at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
– Cash totaling $500 was reported missing at 9:04 a.m. Saturday out of two envelopes in a bedroom in the 5800 block of Boneta Road in Granger Township.
When the homeowner reported the missing money, he said an autographed photo of Shaquille O’Neal was also taken on July 14.
– Copper coils were reported ripped out of two air-conditioning units at Petro USA Gas Station, 8851 Wooster Pike, Guilford Township at 2:54 p.m. July 24. The coils, which were believed to have been taken the night before, were approximately 20 feet long and a half-inch wide.
The units’ pipes were cut with metal shears or bolt cutters in order to reach the coils.
– Two 17-year-olds were charged with theft for allegedly taking a car radio out of a neighbor’s car in the 4000 block of Beat Road in Litchfield Township.
When deputies went to one of the boy’s homes at 8:30 p.m. July 21, the boy allegedly was installing the stolen radio in his car.
The other boy, who was interviewed later, allegedly admitted to the theft.
– Photographs of nude women reportedly were placed in three mailboxes in the 3800 and 3900 blocks of Woodbury Road in Granger Township on Wednesday morning.
– A glass patio table worth $500 reportedly was tipped over and broken during the early morning hours of July 20 in the 8500 block of Chippewa Road in Chatham Township.
