Halloween shows
Prog rockers sitting around and waiting for the new Mars Volta album — due out later this year — will have something to cheer about this fall when Coheed & Cambria comes to Cleveland for two Halloween shows. The rock act, which is touring its upcoming album “No World for Tomorrow,†due out Oct. 23, is scheduled to perform Oct. 30 and 31 at the House of Blues. Opening is Clutch and Fall of Troy. Tickets are $28, and are now on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.
House of Blues dates
Lifehouse is hitting the road this fall in support of its fourth studio effort “Who We Are.†Opening the show is Goodbye Lewis. Tickets are $24.
Formed out of the ashes of Creed, Alter Bridge is hoping to create its own post-grunge revolution. The band, which features ex-Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti, has new album “Blackbird†to promote. You can see the rock act Oct. 9 at the House of Blues. Opening is Another Animal. Tickets are $21.
Northeast Ohio’s favorite prog rocker Paul Fayrewether makes his annual autumn return to the shores of Lake Erie for an Oct. 19 show at the House of Blues. Tickets are $15.
Known as the lead singer and main songwriter of alt rock act Train, Pat Monahan is hitting the solo trail this year with his debut effort, “Last of Seven,†which features new single “Her Eyes.†The Grammy Award-winning singer plays Cleveland Oct. 20 at the House of Blues. Tickets are $25.
A one-man wrecking crew, artist/producer Swizz Beatz is touring his hit single “Money in the Bank,†which can be found on his debut effort, “One Man Band Man.†The hip-hop king is scheduled to perform Oct. 24 at the House of Blues. Tickets are $19.50.
Jam band fans who may have written off the Disco Biscuits as a novelty act based on its quirky name need to rethink their position. This eclectic act is definitely worth the effort as it melds free-form jazz improvisation with electronic music into transcendent moments of bliss. The compelling group pulls into Cleveland for a Nov. 3 show at the House of Blues. Tickets are $20.
Welcome home Cleveland native Marc Cohn when he returns to Northeast Ohio for a Nov. 6 show at the House of Blues. Opening up for the “Walking in Memphis†performer is Amy Correia. Tickets are $26.
Metalcore act As I Lay Dying has a new album, “An Ocean Between Us,†and tour, which brings the San Diego act to Cleveland for a Nov. 14 show at the House of Blues. Opening are All That Remains, Haste the Day and Through the Eyes of the Dead. Tickets are $18.50.
Influenced equally by Saves The Day, Queen and At The Drive-In, Chiodos is starting to gain momentum on the touring circuit, which brings them to Cleveland for a Nov. 20 date at the House of Blues. Opening are Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids and The Devil Wears Prada. Tickets are $15.50.
It seemed like only yesterday that Puddle of Mudd and Nickelback were the two up-and-coming bands in rock. While the latter band has gone on to multi-platinum success, the former act seemingly remains stuck in the slow lane. Puddle of Mudd is touring its new album “Living on Borrowed Time†with an Oct. 29 co-headlining show with Saliva at the House of Blues. 12 Stones opens. Tickets are $24.50.
