Michelle’s Law
Michelle’s Leading Star Foundation is an effort to promote safe driving among teens and commemorate Michelle Sanderbeck (and all other teens) who lost their lives in teen driving crashes. A major objective is to use the proceeds to start an interactive drivers education curriculum and virtual/simulated driving courses in the near future in the Medina school system.

The Medina driver’s education program/ Michelle’s Law is intended to introduce a prototype so that we may start to build a platform that will make safe driving commonplace in our school systems in Ohio.

The event calendar includes:

Michelle’s Leading Star Foundation Tribute on Oct. 2. A granite memorial bench and memorial for the inside of Medina High School with safe driving message “Michelle’s Law” — I agree to obey the speed limits, not to drink and drive, to buckle up, to be responsible and to keep my mind on the road — will be unveiled. The event is by invitation only.

A Fun Run/5K/10K ($15 cost per person) will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 7 at Fox Meadow Country Club, 4260 Fox Meadow Drive, Medina. Early packet pickup is available at Second Sole, 5016 Grande Blvd., Medina. The starting line is at Fox Meadow Country Clubhouse, 4260 Fox Meadow Drive, Medina.

Michelle’s Leading Star Foundation formal silent auction and cocktail hour with live music (cost $50 per person) will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Fox Meadow Country Club, 4260 Fox Meadow Drive, Medina.
