The Medina Kiwanis Breakfast Club recently elected the new officers for the coming year: Janette Forro, president; Tom Borror, vice president; Chet Simmons, treasurer; Cathy King, secretary; and board members Mark Miller, Bob Law, Paula Majoros, Steve Carlson, Clay Benjamin, Stu Root, Wally Schaedel.

Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services Inc. of Brunswick renewed its membership in the International Order of the Golden Rule, a professional association of independently owned and operated funeral homes.

Cynthia Peeples of Brunswick will sing the national anthem at the Cavs vs. Knicks game on Nov. 2 at the Q Arena. Peeples was one of 30 performers chosen out of 130 auditioners.
