Thomas S. Comstock, 60, of Medina, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, in Medina.
He was born Sept. 19, 1947, in Sandusky. In the past 32 years, Tom made many friends and loyal customers as the owner of Comstockâ€™s Sewing & Vacuum Center in Medina. He was the co-founder of the Medina Train Show. Mr. Comstock was a 1965 graduate of Ashland High School. He was an avid boater, fisherman and scuba diver. He served in the Army as a medic during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.
He was the devoted husband of 37 years to Terrie (nee Palmer) Comstock; loving father of Mollie (Brian) Lockwood of Brunswick and Marcie Comstock (fiancÃ©e Tom Norton) of Medina; dear grandfather of Connor and Kylie Lockwood; sisters-in-law, Mary (Bill) Ritchie and Barb Waggoner; brothers, Ronald and Kent M. Comstock, both of Ashland; and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chet Ronan, in 1951; mother, Jane Comstock; adoptive father, James M. Comstock; and son, Harry Comstock.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Richard Kovac will officiate.
Visiting hours: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
