Checking out the new look

Medina residents Arnold Ingrahm (right), Karyn Petrovitch (center) and Debbie Tepper talk Thursday night in the media room on the second floor of the renovated Medina Library during an invitation-only preview reception. Renovation and expansion of the library began in November 2005 and will culminate Saturday with a grand opening. The celebration will feature a flag raising and ribbon-cutting ceremony, a speech from the new library director, Carole Kowell, music from the University of Akron Steel Drum Trio and Canton Symphony Orchestra, crafts, refreshments, door prizes and more. A second-floor area damaged by sprinklers last weekend will be blocked off.
