HILLSDALE, Mich. —Brunswick two-way football standout Ben Karaba was among 16 players who signed national letters of intent on Wednesday with Hillsdale College.

The Chargers recruited the 5-foot-11, 167-pound Karaba as a defensive back, though he also starred at wide receiver for the Blue Devils.

According to Brunswick coach Rich Nowak, Karaba received a $20,000 scholarship to the school.

Hillsdale competes at the NCAA Division II level and is located in southern Michigan, just beyond the Indiana and Ohio borders. It is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Karaba ranked second in Medina County last season in receiving yards (977), receiving touchdowns (10) and receptions (51). He also rushed for 101 yards and scored 66 points.
