Men’s breakfast buffet
Following breakfast, author and sportswriter Terry Pluto will speak at the Men’s Breakfast Buffet held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Feb. 23 at Williams on the Lake, 787 Lafayette Road, Medina.

Twice-named the nation’s top sports columnist and eight-time Ohio Sportswriter of the Year, Pluto will talk about his experiences as a sportswriter, field questions and share the experience of his spiritual journey. He also is the author of several books on sports and faith, some of which will be available for purchase at a special discount rate that morning.
The Men’s Breakfast Buffet is a partnership of several Medina churches. A limited number of tickets ($10 each) are available from Heartland Community Church, 133 N. Court St., Medina, through Feb. 18. Call 330-725-1948 for more information and to secure tickets.

St. Ambrose health fair
A health and wellness fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 8 at St. Ambrose Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. The event includes games, free promotional items and samples from vendors, free health screenings, health and wellness information and door prizes.

Second Baptist anniversary
Second Baptist Church, 451 Bronson St., will celebrate its 88th anniversary with a special service from 4 to 6:40 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Hardin of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Akron will present the message. All are welcome, the Rev. Michael R. Wilson, pastor of Second Baptist, said in a news release.
