David John Donafee, 42, of Brunswick, passed away suddenly Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, on his route as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was born April 29, 1965, in Parma. Mr. Donafee was a letter carrier for the Postal Service for 14 years. He was very involved in childrenâ€™s hockey.
Mr. Donafee is survived by his wife of 17Â½ years, Sandi (nee Blazek) Donafee of Brunswick, sons, Derek David and Liam Paul of Brunswick; mother, Rose Donafee of Brook Park; sisters, Debra (Mark) Jasany of Broadview Heights and Brenda Bryan of Brook Park; brother, Eric Paul (Kathleen) Donafee of Middleburg Heights; sister-in-law, Marie (Mike) Becvar; brother-in-law, George Blazek; nieces and nephews, April Cipo, Sarah (Richard) Donafee, James and Heather Bryan, Anthony Jasany and Michael Becvar; and great-nephew, Michael Paul.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eric Donafee.
Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Westwood Abbey at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted. Pastor Schaffer will officiate.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
Visiting hours: 6 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road (state Route 303 at Interstate 71).
