Gene G. Fulton

Gene G. Fulton, 77, of Seville, passed to his heavenly home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Friday, March 28, 2008, at Hospice at The Inn at Medina.

He was born Dec. 16, 1930, in Wadsworth to Clayton and Beatrice (Kratzer) Fulton. He was a dairy farmer all his life. Mr. Fulton was especially proud of the family’s springtime tradition of making maple syrup, which is being carried on by the fourth and fifth generations of the Fulton family through his son and grandsons. Mr. Fulton was a lifetime member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Seville. He was a Guilford Township trustee for 40 years and served more than 30 years as county committee member to the Medina/Cuyahoga County Farm Service Agency. He also was a member of the Guilford Grange, Ohio Maple Producer’s Association and Medina County Farm Bureau.

The Fulton family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital and Hospice of Medina County for their care and support during his last illness.

Mr. Fulton is survived by his wife of 52 years, Grace (nee Kreider); daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Bock and Brenda (Phil) Bartlett, both of Seville, and Kelly (Dave) Manley of Dalton; son, Steve (Beth) Fulton of Seville; grandchildren, Annie (Bock) Brown, Heather Bock, Andrew, Rebecca, Kimberly and Cory Fulton, Amanda, Jamie and Philip Bartlett, and Caleb, Adam and Seth Manley; sisters, Janice Allen of Ashland and Linda (Ray) Corp of Seville; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; and brothers-in-law, Dick Allen and Dale Kreider.

Service: 1 p.m. today at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Road, Guilford Township. The Revs. Jerry Rhea and Ed Winkler will officiate.

Visiting hours: one hour prior to the service today at the church.
