Margaret Eley, 83, of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Wadsworth Point.

She was born in Barberton to John and Veronica Vukan. She attended Madison College, Madison, Tenn., and Peabody College, Des Moines, Iowa. Mrs. Eley was a retired dietician for Barberton Hospital and taught in many area schools. She served on the Akron Board of Education and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Barberton. Mrs. Eley enjoyed gardening, her flowers and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Hiram, to whom she would have been married 50 years on July 20; daughter, Carolyn (Randy) Cozine of Nebraska; sister, Rose Williams of Norwalk; grandchildren, Debra Cozine and Chrystal Edwards; and great-grandchild, Emily Rose Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Jr.

Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Armstrong-Waite Funeral Home, 25 Pleasant St. (state Route 3), Seville. Pastor Chester Hitchcock will officiate.

Burial: Mound Hill Cemetery, Seville.

Visiting hours: 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
