Joseph Renaldo Casa, 55, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Columbus, Joe graduated from Otterbein College and went on to study business in several executive education programs. A committed family man, an avid cyclist and a consummate professional, Joe gracefully balanced his time. He enjoyed family outings in Cleveland and Columbus, biking through Hinckley Park and watching all the Cleveland sports teams from the field or from his favorite gazebo at home. His career spanned more than three decades, including positions with Record Data, TRW and Old Republic. Joe went on to found October Research Corp., fulfilling a lifelong goal of starting his own publishing company. He took great pride in the rapid growth of the company and the opportunity to mentor others. His generous heart and love of life were well known to family, friends and colleagues.
He was the beloved husband and soul mate of Barbara (nee Bieda); dear father of Christopher (Beth); devoted grandfather of Zoey and Ayden; cherished son of Josephine (nee Sinacola); and loving brother of Nikki.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Unitarian Church of Cleveland, 21600 Shaker Blvd.
Burial: All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
Visiting hours: 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road (state Route 303 at Interstate 71).
