Hiram Eley

Hiram Eley, 83, of Wadsworth, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Wadsworth Point Nursing Home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Warroad, Minn. Mr. Eley was a retired salesman and also was a farmer for many years. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Barberton. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Mr. Eley was an avid harmonica player and was well known for his concerts. For many years he was a literature evangelist.

Mr. Eley is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Randy) Cozine of Milford, Neb.; son Franklyn of Massillon; granddaughters, Crystal and Debra; brother, Louis of Massillon; and sister, Stella Gunn of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, to whom he was married 50 years.

Service: noon Monday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 471 Jefferson Ave., Barberton. Pastor Chester Hitchcock will officiate.

Burial: Mound Hill Cemetery, Seville.

Visiting hours: two hours prior to the service Monday at the church.

Contributions may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Armstrong-Waite Funeral Home, Seville, assisted the family with the arrangements.
