- An employee of Bell Stores, 835 High St., reported at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday a woman driving a white Ford four-door pumped $63.30 worth of gasoline and drove off without paying.

- An officer pulled over a vehicle after it rolled through a stop sign on North Pardee Street. The officer found the license of the driver, Zachary Flinn, 24, of 302 E. Walnut St., was under suspension.

A police dog search of the car reportedly produced a substance, wrapped in blue wax paper that tested positive for heroin.

Flinn was charged with driving under suspension and possession of heroin.

- An officer pulled a vehicle over after the driver turned onto East Smokerise Drive without signaling at 4:25 p.m. July 26.

A search of the car produced a black film canister containing marijuana and rolling papers, both of which allegedly belonged to the car’s passenger, Vivan Whitcraft, 62, of Akron. Whitcraft was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

- An employee of Wal-Mart, 222 E. Smokerise Drive, reported two men purchased approximately $100 worth of merchandise with a credit card at 12:30 a.m. Monday. Two customers in the parking lot said they saw the men throw the credit card out their car window as they left the store’s parking lot.

- A resident of the 100 block of Grandview Avenue reported the rear window of his Jeep was shattered by a BB or pellet between Wednesday and 11:07 a.m. Thursday.

- A resident of the 200 block of Main Street reported his catalytic converter was stolen from his 2005 Buick between Monday and Wednesday.
