Medina County artists 55 and older are eligible to enter the 2008 Senior Living cover art contest. Entrants may develop the winter theme through original nature, animal or holiday paintings or sketches in any medium. Paintings should measure no more than 11 by 14 inches, unframed.
There are two divisions, professional and amateur, with one winner’s work featured on the December cover and one on the January cover.
The deadline is Nov. 17. Entries must be turned in or mailed to The Gazette, 885 W. Liberty St., Medina, 44256. Each entry must have the artist’s name, address and phone number on the back of the painting and indicate professional or amateur status. Winners will be notified by Nov. 21.
Entries will be released to artists after Dec. 4; artists are responsible for retrieving their paintings.
Winning artists must be available for interview.
First prize in each division includes publication on the cover of Senior Living and a $50 gift certificate from Hobby Lobby.
Second-place winners will receive a $25 gift certificate.
