Richard Ralph Heysek, 63, of Seville, departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, in an auto accident after braving a two-year battle with cancer.
He was born July 10, 1945, in Cleveland to Ralph N. and Mildred (nee Marik) Heysek. He was a graduate of Parma High School and a longtime resident of Medina County. During his lifetime, he was a real estate broker, business owner and truck driver, but his passion was his farm and love for his animals.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Gathel (nee Moats) Heysek; daughters, Lynnette (Ken) Bowser of Hoschton, Ga., Penny (Steve) Miceli of Keene, N.H., and Andrea (Jerry) Kiger of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Nicole, Bridgett and Ashley Bowser, Cecelia and Gabrielle Miceli, and Jamie, Abbey and Kade Kiger; brother, Ralph Heysek; aunt, Mae Lukacevic; and uncle, George (Irene) Heysek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and cousin, Bob Lukacevic.
Service: 4 p.m. today at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St., with a reception to follow. Pastor John Castle will officiate.
Visiting hours: 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts in memory of Richard Heysek to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of one’s choice.
