Raymond L. Hibler, 58, of Valley City, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, in Medina.
He was born June 27, 1950, in Parma to Andrew and Margaret Hibler. He resided in Valley City since 1955. Mr. Hibler attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Valley City. He worked for the former LTV Steel in Cleveland for 23 years prior to working for Arcelor Mittal in Cleveland. He loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed music, especially songs by Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton. He took pleasure in watching his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews growing up.
Mr. Hibler is survived by his sisters, Jeanette (Jim) Rafter of Grafton and Arlene (Larry) Klooz of Valley City; brother, Marvin (Rosie) Hibler of Valley City; sister-in-law, Marilyn Skidmore of LaGrange; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Russell and Ronald Hibler.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. The Rev. Dennis Murawski will officiate.
Burial: St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Valley City.
Visiting hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
