Nicole Massi, 62, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008.
She was born in Nuoro, Italy, on Nov. 4, 1946, to Giacomo and Maria Vincenza Sirca. In 1974, she met her beloved husband, Giulio, in Sardegna, Italy, where they were married. Shortly after, she moved to the United States. Nicole was very active in her church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Bernadette Guild. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and home, and always put others ahead of herself, especially her family. She loved hosting dinners, which were enjoyed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Giulio of Seville; son, Charles (Mary Steyer) of Seville; daughters, Ann (Nick) Fanelly of Green and Stephanie (T.J.) Bencin of Medina; brother, Salvatore (Amelia) Sirca of Italy; sister, Pasqualina (Mario) Naldoni of Italy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends in the United States, Canada and Italy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave., Akron.
Entombment: Holy Cross Cemetery.
Visiting hours: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron.
