Jerry D. Triplett, 46, of New London, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a sudden illness.
He was born March 4, 1962, in Lodi and grew up and lived most of his life in the Olmsted Falls area. He lived in the New London area for the past 10 years. Jerry graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1980. He was an operator for West Paving in Berea, the former Osterland Construction in Cleveland and Kokosing Construction. He was a member of IUOE Local 18. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Triplett is survived by his wife of 28 years, Claudia (Thompson) Triplett; mother, Loretta Robinson of Marblehead; sister, Vivian Gratz of Pennsylvania; brother, Wayne (Mary) Triplett of Spencer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kareen (Sparr-Thompson) and Randall Bryan of Nova; brother-in-law, Kevin (Amy) Thompson of Anchorage, Alaska; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda (Thompson) Turk and John Janusas of Cullman, Ala.; nieces and nephews, Sylvia and Michael Gratz, Rebecca and Cory Turk, Phoenix Janusas, JC Calhoun, Franklin, Jack and Jonathon Triplett, and Steve, Matt and Chris Thompson; great-nephews, Lucas and Jamison Triplett; and great-niece, Aubrey Triplett.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Triplett, and stepfather, James Robinson.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London. The Rev. Cathy Ake will officiate.
Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi.
Visiting hours: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
