Shirley Ann Wheeler, 77, of Medina, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, in Akron.
She was born May 11, 1931, in Akron and was a home health aide. Mrs. Wheeler loved reading and her computer, and enjoyed gardening. She had fun playing bingo with her friends at her apartment.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her son, David Wheeler of Washington, D.C.; sister, Barbara Anderson of Medina; and brother, Richard (Marian) Fruth of Dayton, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Alice Fruth, and brother, James Fruth.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairlawn. The Rev. James Patterson of Waltz United Methodist Church will officiate.
Visiting hours: 2 to 5 p.m. today at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
