Conley L. Stout, 85, of Litchfield, went to his heavenly home Friday, March 27, 2009. He was born July 21, 1923 in Grassy Creek, North Carolina.
Conley lived in Cleveland for many years prior to moving to Medina County 20 years ago. He was a lathe operator at LTV Steel, Cleveland, for 35 years. Conley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley City. He loved and faithfully attended activities of his church. Conley enjoyed attending Blue Grass music concerts and riding the motorcycle with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Linda Lapp-Stout; children, Connie (Jim) Kelly of Washington State; John, Matt and Mark Stout, all of Cleveland, and Diane Stout of Tennessee; stepchildren, Diana (Woody) Lapp-Smith of Strongsville, Robin (Mike) Zuba, of Pennsylvania and David (Mary Beth) Lapp of Virginia, (David is serving his 21st year in the Air Force); grandchildren, Michelle, Donnie, Jr., Anita, Marissa, Erron, Margaret, Matt, Jr. and Michael; stepgrandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Kaleigh and Katelyn; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Stout; and brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 6 until the 7 P.M. Celebration of Life Service at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. Rev. Richard Steele, will officiate. At Conley’s request, cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in his home town of Grassy Creek, North Carolina.
