Donald J. Harris, 80, of The Villages, Fla., passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born April 8, 1929, in Wooster and was a graduate of Wooster High School and Kent State University. Don was an entrepreneurial businessman. He was an avid golfer and sportsman, loved his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed walking with his dog, Peppi.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Marilyn Schaudt Harris; daughter, Patricia (Tom) Harris Wagner of Westfield Center; son, Robert (Jacquelyn Jensen) Harris of Wooster; brothers, William Harris of St. Louis and Bennet Harris of State College, Pa.; grandchildren, Jensen (Lynne) Harris, Tyler (Cammie) Kaufman, David Carr (Christine) Harris II and Madeline Harris; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Carr Harris I and Edith Arlene Runkle Harris; brother, Richard Harris of Ocala, Fla.; and granddaughter, Elisabeth Harris.
