Charles W. Clausing, Sr., 82, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009. He was born April 25, 1927 in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Charles served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was an Insurance Agent for Aetna Life and Causality and a member of St. John Newmann, also St. Peters Prep Alumni. He enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his sons, Charles W. (Gladys) Clausing, Jr. of Brunswick, Thomas (Marilee) Clausing of Burr Ridge, Illinois, Michael Clausing of New Jersey and James (Jillian) Clausing of Woodbridge, Illinois; grandchildren, Charles (Candice) III, Timothy, Michael, Thomas, Jr., Kathyrn, James and Megan Clausing; great-grandchild, Charles W. Clausing IV; brothers, Raymond Clausing of Pennsylvania, and Gerrard (Terry) Clausing of Cooksville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen (nee Doheny) Clausing; and brother, Rev. George Clausing.

Funeral service will be at St. John Neumann, 16271 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington, New Jersey.
