MEDINA — Kids out of school for the summer can take in a free movie Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at Regal Cinemas.

Regal’s Free Family Film Festival begins June 16 and movies will be shown at the theater complex at 200 W. Reagan Parkway throughout the summer. All films are rated G or PG.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m., all the movies begin at 10, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Regal will show each movie in two theaters, doubling seating capacity from previous years.

On July 26, the festival will feature the 3-D animated Disney movie “G-Force.” Medina police, members of the National Guard and the Medina Police Activities League will offer demonstrations and games and prizes will be awarded.

The event is sponsored by Medina Volkswagen Mazda, formerly Medina World Cars.

Despite losing the Chrysler end of the dealership, general manager Steve Parker said the company is family owned and family oriented.

“Although times are tough, being locally involved is important to us,” he said. “We still want to be a part of the community and do this sort of thing.”

Besides “G-Force” on July 26, the movie schedule includes:
