WADSWORTH — Organizers of the Wadsworth Rib Cook-Off are telling attendees to “get ready to sample the best pork barbecue†in town.
Beginning Friday at 11 a.m. on the square downtown, chefs from Autumnwood, Bullies, Canal Grille, Corner Blitz Café, Eclectic Edibles, the Galaxy/Liberty Residence and Wadsworth Pointe will compete to be named the best barbecue in Wadsworth. The event ends at 2 p.m. and is presented by the Professional Friends of the Wadsworth Older Adults Foundation.
Rib samples cost $1. “Delectable treats†from other local restaurants will be available and there will be a mini farmer’s market with fresh produce.
Singer and deejay Gene Osburn will provide entertainment.
Those who donate a canned good will receive a free treat courtesy of Great Oaks Cinema and Magnolia Village Retirement Community. All goods will go to the Wadsworth Salvation Army.
The event is open to the public and will be held rain or shine. For information, call the Wadsworth Center for Older Adults at (330) 335-1513.
