Want to get a taste of Medina County? There’s never been a better way to do it than to read The Gazette, but this week we’re going to start giving readers a sharper close-up of their community.
Make that communities, because Medina County is made up of more than one place. At the center is Medina, the county seat. Brunswick, on the north, is the county’s biggest city. Wadsworth is its gateway to the south and east.
Every week we’re going to devote separate pages to each of those cities and their surrounding communities.
Each community page will carry a feature story, a notebook listing upcoming events and a crime watch column. The notebooks replace Datebook, which ran Tuesdays in Accent.
Each page will also carry a picture of the reporter responsible for it, along with information on how to reach her. We encourage readers to contact us with story tips and other information they’d like to see on the page.
With your help, we can keep you in touch with the people and events shaping Medina County’s communities.
- Wednesdays: Judy Totts covers Medina and central Medina County.
- Thursdays: Allison Wood reports on Brunswick and northern Medina County.
- Fridays: Lisa Hlavinka covers Wadsworth and the southern part of the county.
