Sixth suspect in mail theft case turns self in

MEDINA — A sixth suspect in the theft of mail from the Medina Post Office turned himself in to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.

Michael Malin, 18, of 707 Guilford Blvd., is charged with receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, police said.

Five others suspected in the theft case were arrested Thursday night. Kourtney Mains, 20, Kyle Mains, 18, and Anthony George, 18, all of 944-2 Dawn Court, and Shawn Shea, 18, of 946 Andrews Road, also are charged with receiving stolen property. One juvenile also is a suspect, police said.

Between 5 p.m. July 23 and 7 a.m. July 24 a drive-up collection box behind the post office at 303 N. Court St. was broken into and mail stolen.
