Local teen, 18, facing sexual conduct charge in Medina city court

BRUNSWICK— An 18-year-old city resident is charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl, police said.

Aundre Perry, of 3224 Pinecrest Drive, pleaded not guilty to the charge Thursday in Medina Municipal Court and is free on his own recognizance.

The incident reportedly occurred June 3. The girl alleged she was hanging out with Perry when he forced her to have sex with him. Perry said the sex was consensual, according to a police report.

Detective Henry Papushak said Perry turned himself in to police on Wednesday.

“The county prosecutor says there’s not enough evidence to charge him with… rape,” Papushak said.

A trial date has been set for Sept. 8.
