MEDINA TWP. — A Medina Township Fire Department crew mopped up a minor diesel fuel spill this morning at the intersection of Marks and Fenn roads just north of Medina.

Medina Township Police Chief Dave Arbogast said an approximately 30-gallon fuel container fell off a vehicle about 10 a.m. today in the northbound lane of Marks Road. Only two to three gallons of diesel fuel was spilled onto the roadway.

“Nothing’s going to be affected (as far as health or safety),” the chief said. “It’s just a small spill.”

Arbogast noted that there are no leads in locating the vehicle responsible for the spill. A crew of a half dozen firefighters responded to the incident.

Traffic in the northbound lane of Marks Road was backed up momentarily while firefighters cleaned the fuel off the road.
