MEDINA — Police are still searching for a man suspected of using a lost credit card to make several unauthorized withdrawals last month.
A 55-year-old man reported his wallet lost at a local bar and grill during the evening of July 24. In the early morning hours of July 25, withdrawals totaling several hundred dollars were made at different automated teller machines using an ATM card from the wallet, Lt. Bob Starcher said.
He said the wallet owner had his personal identification number written on a piece of paper in the wallet.
“Don’t keep your PINnumber in your wallet next to your card,” Starcher warned.
After contacting the banks, authorities obtained pictures of a male suspect from the ATM cameras. He is white, middleaged and wearing glasses, police said.
Police have posted the images on the department’s Facebook page and asked for the public’s help in identifying the individual.
Anyone with information is asked to contact officer Alan Roland at aroland@mpd.medinaoh.org.
