Brothers charged with assault after allegedly beating Litchfield Twp. man

LAFAYETTE TWP. — Two brothers are charged with aggravated assault after they reportedly beat a Litchfield Township man outside a party early Saturday morning.

Adam Robinson, 21, of 5951 Buffham Road, Westfield Township, is being held in the Medina County Jail on $50,000 bond. John Robinson, 22, of 5830 Heatherhedge Drive, Lafayette Township, is being held on $25,000 bond. Each man’s charge is a fourth-degree felony.

According to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, an assault was reported at John Robinson’s Heatherhedge Drive home about 3:49 a.m. Saturday. The 24-year-old victim was being taken to a hospital by a friend when deputies arrived.

The victim was leaving a party at John Robinson’s home when one of the Robinson brothers reportedly beat him on the head with his fists and with a shotgun. The other allegedly choked him from behind, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim’s status was not available.

The incident has been forwarded to the Medina County Prosecutor’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
