No money equates to no robbery in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK — A man tried to rob the Circle K gas station on Pearl Road Monday morning, but left when an employee told him there was no money in the cash register, according to a police report.

The man was wearing dark clothes, leather gloves and a mask, and had a knife that was about 3 inches long, the report said. He was described as being 6 feet tall, 130 to 150 pounds and in his early 20s.

The man reportedly had a bag to hold the loot, which he set on the counter when he demanded money from the register. After the employee informed him there wasn’t any cash, the man fled on foot, the report said.

Detective Hank Papushak said the incident is under investigation.
