Literacy Week at Windfall School

GRANGER TWP. — As part of Literacy Week at Windfall School, Gazette staff writer Maria Kacik Kula read “If You Give a Moose a Muffin” by Laura Joffe Numeroff to children in Laura Granata’s class today.

Monday marked the start of Literacy Week for students and staff at Windfall. Throughout the week-long celebration, students participated in a variety of activities, including writing and illustrating their own works of literature.

Highlighting the week’s activities were readings by several local dignitaries and celebrities. Besides Kula, readers included Sheriff Neil Hassinger, Medina Mayor Dennis Hanwell and Medina County Commissioner Pat Geissman.

The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities operates Windfall School.
