Wadsworth Crime Waves for Oct. 22, 2010

Thursday, Oct. 14

12:59 a.m. — Michael Line, 36, of Springfield, Ohio, was charged with criminal damaging, disorderly conduct and menacing for allegedly kicking in the windshield of a car parked at the Legacy Inn, 810 High St.

1:59 a.m. — 100 block Park St., an officer on patrol noticed the windshield of a vehicle was smashed.

4:18 p.m. — 100 block S. Lyman St., a resident reported $116 in fraudulent charges on her credit card.

8:39 p.m. — Rex Woodrum, 43, of 8346 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth Township, was charged with disorderly conduct and providing alcohol to a minor after he allegedly bought beer and mixed drinks for Sharnelle Lockett, 18, of Cleveland, who was charged with disorderly conduct and underage consumption. The two also reportedly were involved in an altercation when Lockett attempted to leave the Legacy Inn, 810 High St., and Woodrum reportedly grabbed her wrist to make her stay.

Friday, Oct. 15

8:53 a.m. — 100 block Watrusa Ave., a window was smashed on a parked car.

Monday, Oct. 18

10:20 a.m. — 200 block Marylawn Ave., a resident reported a tackle box and glasses worth $50 were stolen from his vehicle overnight.

Tuesday, Oct. 19

3:45 p.m. — A 10-year-old student walking home from Isham Elementary, 348 College St., reported someone in a maroon vehicle with tinted windows followed her home from school. The student’s mother asked for extra patrols in the area.

6:49 p.m. — A 13-year-old boy reported his iPod Touch and cell phone were stolen from his locker at Wadsworth Middle School, 150 Silvercreek Road.

Monday, Oct. 11

3:25 p.m. — 100 block Bank St., a resident reported three women came to her home and threatened her to stay away from one of the women’s daughters.

Wednesday, Oct. 13

12:10 a.m. — 100 block Evergreen Drive, a woman house-sitting for a resident reported someone was walking around the house outside. Police did not see anyone but noted two screens were disturbed.

Sunday, Oct. 17

9:32 p.m. — Bradley Whitt, 18, of 109 N. Broadway St., Lodi, was charged with theft for reportedly stealing items from CVS, 116 Ainsworth St.

Seville police

Thursday, Oct. 14

9:30 p.m. — A woman staying at Hawthorn Suites, 5025 Park Ave. West, said she left her suite at 8:30 a.m. and returned almost 12 hours later to find the room “trashed” and her laptop stolen, along with some medication.


Sunday, Oct.10

1:08 p.m. — 3600 block Blake Road, Guilford Township, a neighbor dispute was reported.

Wednesday, Oct. 13

10:24 a.m. — 5200 block Greenwich Road, Guilford Township, a man was standing in the road and reportedly yelling at passing cars. Duane Anger, 48, of 522 Greenwich Road #20, was charged with criminal trespassing and persistent disorderly conduct.

Friday, Oct. 15

10:48 a.m. — Avon Lake Road at Seville Road, Harrisville Township, a deputy stopped a car for a marked lane violation. A police dog reportedly alerted to drugs. Bradley Clem, 26, of 215 Hazelwood Drive, Seville, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Tuesday, Oct. 19

8:02 a.m. — 5075 Windfall Road, Granger Township, a theft was reported from the Hospice of Medina County construction site.

Wednesday, Oct. 20

10:05 a.m. — 3900 block Greenwich Road, Guilford Township, someone entered an unlocked car and took $50.
