Police arrest Cleveland man for allegedly selling heroin

BRUNSWICK — Local authorities arrested a Cleveland man Thursday night for allegedly selling heroin to an undercover narcotics agent.

Reginald D. Williams, 31, was charged with one count of trafficking heroin, which is a felony, according to a prepared statement from the Medina County Drug Task Force office. He was taken to the Medina County jail pending arraignment in municipal court.

“Drug dealers in the surrounding metropolitan areas, such as Cleveland and Akron, should know that conducting their illegal activities in Medina County comes with terrific risk,” said Gary Hubbard, director for the county’s drug task force.

Information leading to the arrest indicated that Williams has traveled to Medina County on “numerous occasions” to sell illegal drugs, Hubbard said.

The Medina County Drug Task Force and Brunswick Police Department were involved in apprehending Williams, Hubbard said.

Williams is being held at the Medina County jail on a $100,000 bond.
