Lisa Turner, 39, was driving a Ford Explorer when she reportedly went left of center about 3:11 p.m. and her vehicle hit a Ford Taurus driven by Anthony Gardella, 41, head-on, according to Officer Chris Salveter.
There were no passengers in either vehicle, Police Chief Tim Kalavsky said.
Kalavsky said both drivers were conscious but seemed to have serious injuries.
“Best I can say now is they’re not life-threatening injuries,” Kalavsky said at the accident scene.
He said Gardella had to be extricated from the Taurus and could have a leg wound.
The drivers were transported to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center, he said.
Their status was not available at press time.
