The 21st annual Meadows Turkey Bowl kicked off at 8 a.m. today at the home of Mike Meadows in Medina Township. The football competition included four teams of 12 players, all who raised money from sponsors to go toward the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Medina.

Money raised via the Turkey Bowl for St. Vincent totaled $90,010, and accepting the check after the championship game was Tom Rebescher, president of the society.

“Our clients appreciate everything done here today,” said Rebescher, who added that the society serves 40 to 50 people on a weekly basis. “This money goes a long way.”
