Third-quarter update: Browns lead 10-3

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Browns went 94 yards in six plays for a touchdown to take a 10-3 lead over Miami into the fourth quarter.

Jake Delhomme completed four passes in four attempts on the drive for 89 yards. Receiver Mohamed Massaquoi had catches of 37 and 33 yards, and tight end Benjamin Watson caught the 4-yard touchdown on a crossing route.

Earlier in the quarter, Phil Dawson missed a 47-yard field goal high off the left upright. It hooked just enough at the end to hit and carom away. A 9-yard sack on third down – the right side was overwhelmed – proved critical.

The Browns threw more in the quarter after Peyton Hillis and the running game had been stuffed in the first half.
