MEDINA — The arraignment of Steven Cepec that was scheduled for Thursday was postponed until later this month.
Judge James L. Kimbler was out sick Thursday. Cepec’s arraignment on murder and robbery charges is now scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 23.
A spokesman at the Medina County Jail said Thursday that Cepec is still at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, where he’s been held on a parole violation since this summer. He will be held there until his hearing later in the month.
Cepec allegedly killed his neighbor, 73-year-old Frank Munz, in his Chatham Township home on Richman Road on June 3.
In a secret indictment late last month, the grand jury charged Cepec, 41, with four counts of aggravated murder, two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated robbery.
Cepec could be sentenced to death if convicted of any of the aggravated murder or murder charges.
