1 killed, 4 hurt when snow plow and Ohio team bus collide

BUCYRUS — A team carrying members of a college wrestling team has collided with an Ohio snowplow, killing a 52-year-old man on the bus.

The Ohio Highway Patrol said the University of Mount Union bus was passing the plow on the right when the accident occurred late Tuesday on U.S. route 30 in north central Ohio’s Crawford County.

Daniel Gorman of Hartville was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Troopers at the Bucyrus post said four others were treated for minor injuries. They include a 19-year-old member of the team, the head coach and an assistant coach.

The driver of the Ohio Department of Transportation plow was not hurt.

The bus was returning to the school in Alliance following a wrestling meet at Ohio Northern University in Ada.
