U.S. Bank robbed in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK — U.S. Bank, located inside Giant Eagle, 3440 Center Road, was robbed Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The robber, described as a white male in his 30s, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8 and about 180 pounds, handed a teller a note demanding cash before leaving in an unknown direction, police said.

He was wearing a black coat, black hat and black scarf.

Police responded to an alarm at the bank at 2:23 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Brunswick police at (330) 225-9111.

This is third bank robbery in Medina County within a week. Two Lodi banks also were robbed: Wayne Savings Community Bank, 303 Highland Drive, on Monday and FirstMerit Bank, 209 Wooster St., on Jan. 5. A suspect in the Lodi robberies is in custody.
